I am an experienced, HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting my clients in easing distress of life, providing them with skillfull insight into their challenges and problems. I work both with adolescents and adults, both as individuals and in groups, seeking to create a compessionate therapeutic space for my clients to work towards change and recovery. My approach is integrative and relational, focusing on building a trusting relationship with my clients, supporting them to explore and examine their current difficulties with the aim of providing renewed hope, understanding, empowerment and choices.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, community services and forensic settings. In using an integrative approach, a range of therapeutic models (psychodinamic, behavioural, cognitive) are used and psychological theories are drawn upon. I can integrate therapies with my knowledge of neurodiversity, in which I have extensive experience and specialise in diagnostic and post diagnostic support. I am a trained Autism diagnostician using a range of structured assessment tools in line with standard guidelines for diagnosis.
I feel honoured to accompany my clients through life struggles and traumas. My areas of specialty include:
