We understand that internal struggles, mental and emotional difficulties can sometimes feel overwhelming and suffocating. You might be struggling to cope with something, or you feel lost, experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, difficulties in managing emotions, eating disorders, stuck with an addictive behaviour, substance misuse, unhappy with a life situation/event, low self-esteem, trauma (including injustice trauma), learning difficulties and disabilities, and neurodevelopmental conditions like autism. Pretending to be fine when we don’t feel fine at all can be exhausting - mentally, physically and emotionally. When we feel we have to hide aspects of who we are or how we feel, when we cannot be honest with others (and sometimes even ourselves) about our thoughts, feelings and struggles, we feel isolated, lost and hopeless.
